Brandon

Brandon, Mississippi, the County Seat of Rankin County has often been called the "City of Red Hills Laden with Golden Opportunities". Located just east of Jackson, Brandon has seven incorporated towns, including Brandon and Flowood.

Brandon is home to 5A schools: Rouse Elementary, Stonebridge Elementary, and Brandon Elementary, Middle, and High. These schools offer a wide variety of academic and extracurricular activities. When moving to Brandon, you will also find several events held annually, including the Mayor's Easter Egg Hunt, Brandon Day, National Night Out, Veteran's Day Celebration, and the Christmas Parade. The Black Rose Theatre Company, located downtown, shows a variety of plays every year. You will also enjoy the beautiful Ross Barnett Reservoir, a 33,000 acre man made lake that offers great fishing, boating and water sports.
